Connection to External Systems
In times of Logistics 4.0 and advanced digitalization, it is of major importance that the various IT systems communicate efficiently with each other and exchange the relevant data. For a WMS depending on the IT infrastructure it is necessary to connect ERP, Dispatch, Tour Management, Master Data and Document Management systems. This is made possible in a flexible way with Proway Business World (PBW).
ERP Services
PBW provides standardized interfaces to all common ERP systems, such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics (Navision).
A large number of interfaces to customer and industry-specific ERP systems have already been successfully implemented with PBW. Existing interfaces can be adapted to your needs at any time or new individual interfaces can be created.
Data exchange can be performed not only via the TCP/IP protocol, but is also possible via Tables, Database, XML, FTP and File interfaces.

Shipping Service Provider
In many industries, the increasing share of e-commerce is driving growth in business-to-customer (B2C) orders. The various courier, express and parcel services (CEP services) such as DPD, DHL, UPS or Hermes are typically used for shipping.
PBW offers you a comprehensive portfolio for handling the respective CEP services – including the management of different shipping types and services. PBW can completely manage the shipping process and can provide the respective shipping labels according to the service provider’s specifications and services. This of course includes the creation of a shipping unit number and the realization of the routing. The required pre-announcement of the parcels via EDI to the CEP service based on its communication specifications is also handled by PBW.
As an alternative, PBW can be embedded in existing processes and connected to an already existing shipping system (e.g. Heidler). For this purpose, powerful interfaces with different technologies (e.g. Database links, REST or SOAP Web services) with flexible data formats (e.g. XML or CSV) are available.
