Benchtop and VXI Instruments
NAI offers a wide range of Benchtop and VXI card-based motion simulation and measurement instruments specifically designed for defense, commercial aerospace and industrial applications. Noted for their best-of-breed performance, these innovative and highly reliable instruments are used in a broad range of programs by customers world-wide. Typical applications include design; simulation; production test; and calibration of airborne, ground-based, and shipboard systems such as navigation control, signal retransmission, fire control, LVDT/RVDT simulation, and test.
NAI’s instruments are field-proven over many years of use and have become the industry standard. All of NAI’s production, test, and inspection personnel are certified to IPC-A-610 standards via the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and our equipment calibration procedures meet the requirements of ANSI/NCSL-Z540, utilizing standards traceable to NIST.

Phase Angle Voltmeters
NAI’s units of today are actually multifunction Digital Analyzing Voltmeters that combine a complete Voltmeter, a Phase Angle Voltmeter, and a Waveform Signal Analyzer in a single microprocessor-based instrument. With these versatile and flexible instruments, a wide range of tests can be performed, either manually using the front panel controls or automatically using the IEEE-488 bus. Designed for the Synchro/Resolver and LVDT/RVDT marketplace, NAI’s Voltmeters are used in a variety of applications. They are capable of measuring: Phase Angle, Total Voltage, Fundamental Voltage, In-Phase Voltage, Quadrature, Frequency Analysis Voltage, Signal to Reference Ratio and Harmonic Distortion.
Synchro/Resolver Simulators
NAI offers a wide variety of Synchro/Resolver Standards and Simulators that can be used as standards for calibrating and testing Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) or for measuring the static or dynamic characteristics of Angle Position Indicators (APIs) and Synchro-to-Digital Converters. Features include up to 2 arc-second accuracy, programmable parameters, and 3.0 VA output. Ideally suited for defense, commercial aerospace, and industrial applications, these measurement instruments deliver industry-leading performance in a variety of accuracy and resolution grades, with various packaging options.

VXI Instruments
NAI offers a wide range of COTS and custom VXI-based Instruments. These boards are specifically designed for defense, commercial aerospace, and industrial applications. Our DSP-based designs offer very high function density, high resolution and accuracy, and low power consumption. Standard features include extensive diagnostics, Background Built-In-Test (BIT), auto-ranging of signal inputs, self-calibration, galvanic isolation, and field programmable parameters. A VISA PNP Software Support Kit (SSK) is provided to facilitate application development.
